Blog Consulting Blog Customers are beginning to understand the problems inherent in their existing copier and printer programs: Too many different models, under-performing equipment, invoices that would take Einstein to interpret, and no proactive service reports. It is perplexing then, to say the least, that these same customers are looking to the same vendors to magically fix those same problems with their newly created consulting divisions. We think they'll end up with exactly what they have now if not worse. What's your opinion on this? Managed Print Services Blog The entire industry is fixated with Managed Print Services (MPS). Our view is that the verdict is still out on whether vendors can create meaningful cost, technology and administrative efficiencies for customers with these programs. Can anyone say with absolute certainty what the cost savings will be from an MPS engagement? We think not because customers cannot pinpoint their current costs. Maybe ten years from now when most customers are engaged with MPS vendors, yes, the cost savings brought about by switching companies will be clear. But that is the future, not the here and now. It's our view that customers should be looking far beyond the traditional equipment vendors for help with managing printer fleets. What is your view? Technology Blog We've been wondering lately: Has the industry run out of meaningful technology advancements? What will be the next frontier assuming we have 85% network connectivity and everyone is now supposedly using all the printing and scanning features of multifunctional digital copiers? We would like for industry insiders or customers to chime in on this subject. To contribute to any of the blogs posted above, please email your comments to: Pro Buyers Blog Contribution.
